A Night of WII

Ok - so the boys got a Wii for christmas this year, and well I do think it's a great family game to play.
We love it.
Last night, as Jonah went off to have a sleepover at his cousins house, we challenged Lucas to a race off on Mario Cart.. and let me tell you - that 6 1/2 (almost 7) knows his way around a Wii. Considering he beat all of us...
Jillian and myself had to try it out for ourselves and as you can tell from the pictures we really had a blast with it. Jillian tried her hand at Wii golf and I was pretty impressed with her swing, as she keeps telling me she can play.
Our friend Sean also came over to hang out with Ty and the boys. Sean is Tyler's friend from USMC. Only I never believed he existed as it took 13 years for us to meet him.
It was a fun night for everyone and even Ethan got in on the action with the remote control truck.
Enjoy the pictures.

Christmas 2008

well it's December 25th.. and Santa made it... Yea, I was pretty sure that my boys were going to get coal this year (or whatever is considered "Green" as I have been informed coal is not "Green").
Tyler worked on Christmas Eve and arrived home at 6.30am and tried to take a power nap that lasted yea.. 20 mins. We all got up at 7am and had a look at what santa had dropped off.

The kids were extremely excited as they both got the Nintendo DS that they asked for, along with about a million other wonderful gifts, thanks to Grandma Evie, Grandma Honey, Grandpa Harold, Grandpa Monte, Uncle Noonie, Aunt Casey, Auntie Lou, Grandpa Ian & Grandma Linda.
Tyler went to bed shortly after opening all the gifts and I spent the majority of the morning along with Grandma Evie putting together all the million pieces of Lego and Hot Wheels and.. who know what else.

Tyler got up about 2pm (Tyler works nights, for those who did not realize it, and has to work Christmas day night at 6pm - 6am) to enjoy a wonderful dinner that Grandma Evie and I put together.
It really was a white christmas, I don't think I have ever experienced that before. It was pretty much a winter wonderland around here.
Enjoy the pictures, as I tried to capture all the moments - Lucky for me, I will be getting myself a new camera during the sales so that the quality of pictures will be a lot better.
Happy holidays to all my friends and family.
And at the end of the day.. Goo was so worn out,she ended up in her little box.
Goo in a box!!!!!
And we can't forget Rio, who is still going strong...well still going at age 16 ( I say 14, Ty says 16)

Love always
Lisa & her boys

Holidays at Grandma Geri's & Grandpa Harold's.

We piled up the car on Saturday morning (the 20th) and headed down to Grandma and Grandpa's house to celebrate the holidays early with Auntie "Crunchie" (Monica), Savannah and Trevor. We left the house with no snow, and the blizzard hit while we were there.
We had the most amazing dinner as always, that's to Grandpa Harolds great cooking.
After dinner, the kids got to open all their gifts and both boys were really happy with their presents.
Lucas got his Ben 10 experiment kit that he has been asking for since June in Dublin and Jonah got a remote control transformer car. Both boys got kids laptops and have not stopped playing with them.
The drive home was extremely scary and the snow is still coming down. We must have close to 8 -9 inches in the back yard. I guess we are going to be sledding today.
Luckily I am off until January 5th, so I will no be going anywhere...anytime soon.

Thanks again to Grandma and Grandpa for a wonderful day.

Enjoy the pictures everyone.

Let it snow.. let it snow.. let it snow

Well we had the first snow fall of winter today (December 14th) and the kids had a blast outside on the hill. It's really great when we have great neighbors that stand at the top and bottom of the hill. The kids bundled up warm and went outside and sled until their hands and feet were so cold. We came back inside and I made the best hot chocolate with candy canes and marshmallows. The kids drank 3 of them.

Warm Beach 2008

So December 13th I went with Lucas, Jonah, Aunt Tracey Andy, Alex and Nathan to Warm Beach, which was about 20 miles north of us. Let me tell you there was nothing warm about it.
It was a great night out. We got to see Santa, ride the polar express make a toy in Santa's workshop, ride ponies and even eat fried donuts. The 30 min wait was worth the wait.
The kids all had a blast and even though we all were ice cold, it was worth every minute of it.
