Kids day 2009

So I am one for having a house full of kids - I seem to like having a house full of kids. This time, I have decided that it's all about the mom's having a play date and not the kids... but we use the kids as the excuse!!!! We had the usual suspects over, Shannon, Stephine, Katie, Alison & Ryan, Carrie, Tracey, and some newbies... Jenn & Tom, Debra and Dian. Like always, we had the best day ever. An all day event. On a rainy day, when there is not much to do, 20 kids had a blast running around the house, making a mess, but loving every minute of it. I don't even think I lost a kid... only cause I did not let any of them out. There was plenty of food for everyone, like always and Debra's Chicken salad wraps were amazing.. (Thanks Debra) - your in!!! LOL These are the moments that we will always treasure, good friends, good drink and great food. To a great group of friends, thank you all for being so awesome and I look forward to summer bbq and running around at Stephanie back yard. As I always end my blog - I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did taking them. xoxo Lisa
P.S. - To my dear friend Amanda - I wish you were here!!! Miss ya

February 2009

So I don't think I really need an excuse to fill you all in but since we are almost through February I thought I better send out an update on what is going on, as with 2 kids there is always something.
Well February was the month of love... or so they tell me. The kids went off to School with cards and candy for everyone, so of course they came home with cards and cards from 25 other kids. That's a lot of candy!!! On the 15th of February Grandma Evie took me and the boys to see The Lion King in Seattle. Wow, it was amazing.. I am not sure if Jonah thought that as after 5 mins he was done and did not want to sit for the 2 hour show..He did.. but I did feel bad for the 80 year old man next to me. Lucas loved it and did not move the entire time.

Auntie Crunchie..aka Auntie Monica and Savannagh also came up over the weekend and the kids got Webkins, wow - a 4 year old online - is a very scary thing, but boy, he's good at it. Lucas is a wiz at the internet, and soon he will be teaching Tyler and I a thing or two.

We had a bit of scare with Rio this past month, but a trip to the vet and some happy pills, she's right back to being her happy self. The vet said she is about 16 years old. She has to be the best family dog ever.

We did a bathroom project this weekend - but no pictures to show you - but Tyler did a great job and it only took 4 trips to the hardware store to spend $6.00 each time.

Well, as I always end my blog - I hope you enjoy the pictures as much I did taking them.
Love
Lisa & her 3 boys!
xoxo

Sunday January 25th - Family Day

So, as we come to the end of the month, I have now decided, 3 birthdays for any child in one month is way to much. So to everyone... next time, it's one massive crazy day, with everyone here at the same time.. party for friends.. party for kid with just family.. and another party for kid with all the other family members... way to much!!!!!! but in the end I have to say, it was well worth it...but NEVER AGAIN....

We started the weekend off with going to see Hotel for Dogs with Jane, Kolby & Judah. After the movie I had the boys come back and do their very first sleepover at a friends house and for those of you who know the personality of my boys.. they met their match. Jonah and Judah are two peas in a pod and Lucas and Kolby are video gamers through and through. Even though I tried to get them to bed at 9pm, not one of them was ready for bed so at 11pm, it was lights out.. only to have them turned back on again at 6.30am. How do kids do it.. It's ok - Jane is taking my two next Saturday for the night...

Sunday was family day at the Williams house for the final installment of Lucas's 7th birthday.
We had Grandma Evie, Grandma Geri & Grandpa Harold, Mabel and Howard up from OR, Aunt Tracey, Aunt Shelley, Uncle Rick, Savannah, Nathan Alex and Andy, and the newest member of the Williams clan, Jillian and Ethan considering Ethan, Lucas and Jonah are inseparable.

Lucas opened up more gifts, but I think the blender he got from his Aunt's and Cousins was one of the highlights. We have already made smoothies and Lucas is quite the chef.

Some of the other great gifts were more bakugan (don't even ask) Cooking Mama, and Rock Band, in addition to some great other toys.

Thank you to everyone who came to the party.

Enjoy the pictures.
xoxo

Lucas's 7th birthday party with friends

So, January is Lucas's month.. it's going to be all updates on him, mostly cause he is turning 7 on the 22nd. Not only is he going to be 7 next week, he also lost his top tooth this week. He looks all grown up..even if he is only turning 7. On January 17th, Lucas had his birthday party at the house with all his friends. Thank you to all his friends that came and played. We had a video game party this year. In one room we set up the xbox 360 with a projector screen on the wall. Thanks to Alison, Wyatt and Alyssa for bringing down Rock Band, it really was a great hit.In the family room we had the Wii going and we had fun playing the Nurf Game on the TV. Thanks to Jane, Kolby and Judah for lending us that game. There was Nintendo DS's galore with plenty of Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones going around.

With the theme being video games, I tried my hand at baking this year, and it worked. Who knew..... But I don't think baking is my calling.
So, to all his friends that came, a big thank you for coming and spending the day with us.
Koleby, Judah, Alex, Taylor, Jazy, Carris, Ruben, Logan, Joe, Nick, Arianna Wyatt, Alyssa, Sammy.. and to Laurie, Jane, Michelle & Alison, thanks for being great friends.
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did taking them.
More updates coming later in the month.

New Years Eve - Kids Friendly Style

So, New Years Eve 2008 was not the wildest or the craziest.. but it was a blast. The kids had the most fun running around the house making as much noise possible.
It was a very low key NYE with our friends Jillian and Ethan (Ookie's and Jojo's BFF... way too cute).
We ate dinner and drank the most amazing Martini's with some really fancy purple stuff. But they were so good.
They was a lot of laughter in this household and the kids kept us entertained until the finally passed out about 10.30pm. Lucas and Ethan shared his bed and it was priceless. Of course Jojo wanted nothing to do with it.
We opened up the bottle of bubbly at midnight and had a toast with Dick Clark & Ryan Seacrest.
To everyone -
We wish you a wonderful 2009 and may all your wishes and dreams come true.
As always, enjoy the pics.
